A looong day. Got up at 5:00am, and the dawn call to prayer was sounding as we finished our packing and headed down to snatch some early breakfast and
pile into the bus to the airport. Flew from Izmir to Istanbul, and from there boarded our 11-hour flight to New York. At JFK we tried to switch to an
earlier flight but with no success; we were doomed to wait the full six hours for our connecting flight to BWI. Time went by, with some weary travelers
sacked out on the floor... But eventually we made it home after 28 hours of continuous travel by bus, plane, plane, train, plane, metro, car, and car;
punchy, but safe and sound.
